Day 98- Photo shoot (almost) fail

Today, we went to Sears to have Nora's 12 month birthday pictures taken. We also planned to do Easter pictures. The same photographer, Brandie, has taken Nora's 3 month, Christening, 6 month, Santa, and 9 month pictures. She's infinitely patient and she loves what she does.

However, Nora always brings a special challenge, and today was no different. She had her vaccinations yesterday, and today, that meant she was a little more tired and a little more clingy.

We went for pictures at 1 p.m., and it was an absolute failure. She absolutely would not loosen her death grip on me, and after 30 minutes, we gave up. We were offered the chance to come back later, and so we decided to give it a try.

Take 2 was at 4 p.m. after Nora had a nap and was in better spirits. When we got there, she was happy, smiley, and playing in the waiting area. When we hit the studio, she started fussing again.

Oy.

Anyway, Brandie insisted she would get great pictures, and she did. They are beautiful and we are so pleased. We didn't do the Easter ones, just birthday, but I'm so happy with what we got.

Then, of course, after the pictures, she was once again calm and happy. Here she is when we were leaving Sears.
