Day 258- Busy Bee

Tonight, Nora and her Daddy had some quality time together while I had to work late at a school football game. She was a busy little bee, getting into everything, or so I've been told, and she spent a good amount of time playing with her pups, both inside and out.

She really is just so much fun to be around right now.

C'mon Brandy, let's go outside!
Bailey is giving Nora the side-eye.
C'mon Bailey, let's go play in the yard!
Bailey?
Once again, reasoning with dogs is exhausting.
What do you mean "Babies are exhausting, too?"
Just relaxin'

It seems like she had a fun evening, and then she went to sleep without a single complaint. That's our good girl.

Day 257- Staying Hydrated

I guess her sippy cup just isn't cutting it these days because Nora loves drinking straight from my water bottle. She does a good job of it, too. She tilts it slowly and carefully so to not spill water all over herself. (She did learn that lesson the hard way a couple of times!)

Can I help you?

Day 256- Welcome Home!

Nothing is as fun as having Nora meet you at the front door with open arms.

Well, maybe one thing. Having her walk down the sidewalk to meet you and escort you back into the house is pretty cute, too.

Day 255- Hop on Pop

Nora's attention span has definitely increased. For a while, she wouldn't even sit through an entire board book. Then, she was able to sit through several board books, but she wouldn't sit through an entire "full length" book.

NOW, she'll sit through a Seuss book from beginning to end. Her current faves are "Go Dog. Go!" and "Hop on Pop".

Pointing to the pretty pictures
She's very into the thick plotline
Helping Momma turn the pages
The end! (Side-note: Are those back molars coming in already???)

Day 254- I Brush My Teeth Ch Ch Ch Ch

Does anybody else know this song by Raffi? I sing it to Nora every time I put a toothbrush in her hand, and these days, she loves it. (For a while, teeth-brushing was a torturous event that was met with screams and real tears.)

Here she is last night brushing her teeth before bedtime.

Day 253- Fall Is In The Air

With football season comes fall weather. Today, for the first time, we were able to turn off our air conditioning for a few hours early in the day and open all our windows. We're not quite ready for sweaters and chili and pumpkin lattes just yet. By afternoon, we had to turn the air back on, but still, it's nice to get a little break from the extreme heat.

So, after Nora woke up from her afternoon nap, we went to the park to play. She climbed, she had a blast in the swing, and Little Miss Independent also took off for a walk around the walking path.

Hey, Mom! Hey, Dad! Just going for a walk!
Taking a hydration break
Looking cool in her shades

She is having so much fun with these sunglasses and headbands, and I can't get enough of them!

Day 252- Game Day Fun

I need to start by saying that Tennessee beat Georgia State 51-6 tonight. Good Ol' Rocky Top Woooo!!!

Nora, of course, was dressed for the occasion, even though it was kind of a dreary day, and we were sticking close to home.

I guess someone around here needs to feed the dogs...
Shopping for some game day snacks

Touchdown Big Orange!
Trying to put a headband on Bailey...
Having a heart-to-heart with Bailey about the headband
Take 2!

Trying to bargain with a dog is exhausting!
